Entrepreneurship for Teens (live online)
We are excited to present our experiential entrepreneurship course that will introduce students to the different facets of entrepreneurship. This will be a 3-module program, with 4 sessions per module, and will be progressive.
We are kicking off the module A titled “Reframing the Problem as an Opportunity – Growth Mindset”. In this module, the students will:
- learn about the entrepreneurial mindset and some tools to develop it
- engage in the exercise of problem finding, framing, and coming up with one possible solution
- be introduced to the lean canvas as a tool to map out their solution
- will present their problem, process, and solution in the final session of this module
The students can choose to work in teams or individually although working in teams is highly encouraged. This course is geared toward students in 8th grade or higher.
The modules B & C will cover
- introduction to design thinking
- introduction to the iterative nature of designing a solution
- interviewing potential customers and getting feedback on the idea
- pivoting the idea based on feedback
- concept of an MVP
- marketing
- pitching the idea
We will send out signup information for modules B & C as we’re wrapping up with module A. Students are not required to sign up for all modules, however, since the course is progressive, module A is a prerequisite to sign up for module B & C.
